T-80B obr 1978

Initial production model of the T-80B. Produced for about 2 years before switching to the 1980 model with more capable engine.

T-80B obr 1980

Main production model of the T-80B. Most notable upgrade is the 1.100 hp GTD-1000TF multi-fuel gas turbine engine.

T-80B obr 1982

Late production variant of the T-80B. Features the newer 2A46M-1 main gun.

T-80BK

Command tank version of the T-80B. Features additional radio, telescopic mast and navigational equipment. In order to facilitate extra equipment the ammunition load is reduced and 9K112 Kobra system has been removed.

T-80BV

Variant with Kontakt-1 ERA and re-arranged external turret layout. Produced as new vehicles from 1985 until production switched to T-80U. Majority of existing T-80B were retrofitted to this standard from 1985 onward during periodical maintenance.
