The Fennek SWP is a self-propelled SAM system of Dutch origin. This is a highly mobile short range air defense system. SWP stands for Stinger Weapons Platform.
It is fitted with the Turkish Pedestal Mounted Air Defense System (PMADS). The low profile remote control turret is fitted with two launchers that each hold two Stinger missiles. Two missiles can be locked on at once to allow for ripple fire.
Target acquisition is carried out by an optronics set. The set consists of a thermal camera, TV camera and laser range finder. The passive setup allows the vehicle to remain undetected until missile launch.

The Fennek SWP is based on the Fennek chassis. Aside from the PMADS turret and internal fire control components the vehicle is similar to regular Fennek used in the utility role without sensor mast.
