The KET-L is a medium sized recovery vehicle of Russian origin. It is based on the Ural 5323-62 chassis 8x8 10 t truck chassis. It was designed to supplement the older and larger KET-T recovery vehicle which is based on the much larger MAZ-537 8x8 truck chassis. An earlier model of the KET-L was based on the Ural 375 chassis. The older variant has a lower recovery capacity than this newer vehicle.
The role of the KET-L is to recover various types of wheeled vehicles up to 16 t and transport these immobilized vehicles to a field workshop. The KET-L features a smaller crane for lifting objects, vehicle parts and cargo. A larger recovery jib crane extends over the rear and features two jacks that double as an earth anchor. The recovery crane is also used to partially lift vehicles while moving them to a field workshop.
The KET-L is based on the chassis of the Ural 5323-62 truck with 8x8 wheel configuration.
